Strange symptoms, could it be an STD?

Asked by on April 4, 2017

I have two raised bumps near my vaginal opening. They are not red, itchy, or painful and have been there for almost a month. I have not had sexual intercourse in nearly 9 months. I can’t match my symptoms to anything I’ve read about common STD/STIs. Any thoughts on what it could be?

There are a few possibilities for what these bumps could be. It could be a dermatological issue or an STD, such as genital warts. Genital warts can take time to manifest symptoms or disappear and come back, so even if you have not had intercourse lately, there could be a connection. The only way to get a diagnosis is to schedule a visit with your gynecologist, who can determine the cause of these bumps.
