Can you get an STD from the mere action of unprotected sex, even if both people do not have an STD? Or do you need to have sex with someone with an STD to get it yourself?

Lol wow the questions some people ask you must be really young…the only way you can get an std is if you have sex with someone who has contracted an std 2 uninfected people can’t just have sex and create an std it has to be spread from someone else please google your questions and save yourself the embarrassment of asking dumb questions

Someone needs to have the STD “germ” so to speak. Sexually transmitted diseases are diseases, after all, and diseases come from a virus, bacteria, or something like that.

However… some STDs do not always show up on tests, and it is possible to have one and the test not show positive. So gambling on both people actually being STD-free is really risky.

Use a condom. The risk isn’t worth it.

The STD has to exist in order to get it.

You have to have sex with someone with an STD. The trouble is that you cannot tell if someone has an STD or not. They may not know themselves. If you have symptoms that are worrying you, go to a G.U.M clinic
