Can you get STD from giving your partner a BJ?
Asked by on
It was first time and my partner got tested before and it turn out he is fine. Can I still get STD even though I never engage in sex before? For some reason, my mouth is sore from the top. Is this normal?

You can get one, but if you guys are clean then its fine.. If you give a bj then sometimes your mouth is dry or it rubs and your mouth ends up sore but it will go away in a few days and if not then go get that checked

If your partner has an STD on his genitals then he could give you an infection or STD in your mouth or throat. You’re very susceptible to getting an std if you have never had sex before. Virgins can get STDs if they don’t have protected sex, that goes for both oral and vaginal sex. You can get an STD when you have sex with some one for the first time even the first time giving oral sex. You can still get tested even though you never had sex before but they may want to know why, if you have never had oral, given oral, or vaginal sex before your not likely to have STDs. If could be a bacterial infection or fungus if his penis wasn’t clean before you gave him oral or strep throat. If your worried then see a doctor and have them swab your throat for STDs.

Hi,
Yes, you can get an STD from a blowjob, or oral sex. Most STDs that you can get through sex you can get from oral sex, but you will usually get them in your mouth. These include gonnorhea, chlamydia, syphillus, and herpes.
If you are having pain in your mouth and you believe it’s from the blowjob, you may want to get tested. Your doctor will simply do an oral swab, where they rub a cotton swab along your cheek and test it in the lab for STDs.
Also, just because your partner said he got tested doesn’t mean he did. And it doesn’t mean he doesn’t have an STD. I hate to sound doubtful, but many people lie about having an STD because they’re embarassed, or maybe they didn’t even get tested at all.
Good luck to you!

If the guy has an STD then yes you could get the same STD that he has. If your both clean then no, although there are some STD’s that don’t show up on test until 6 months later so even though they don’t have it one day don’t mean you can’t get it.

It is possible to get an STD from oral sex, provided that your partner had an STD.
