STD? or not to STD?

Asked by on May 4, 2014

Okay.. so my hag confided in me that she thinks she may have an STD although she really has no reason to think she does.. she is sexually active but.. her bf and her are clean and they’ve been together for a while and shes not permiscious.. anyway, she wanted me to ask the girls out there if they’ve ever gotten a pimple or something similar on the lips of there vag. she showed me and it did look like a pimple and she later told me she popped it like a pimple.. but i wanted to make sure it was normal otherwise im dragging her to the clinic right away.. this is a very serious question, i know it sounds kind of gross but she is like my lil’ sis and i want to take care of her. thanks!
1. she is LIKE my sister..

2. yes she shaves downthere on a regular basis..

3. i am almost positive its not a STD but wanted outside opinions..

Don't take a chance with this stuff. Whenever in doubt, get tested. It's the only way to have peace of mind.

maybe it’s an ingrown hair. go to the doctor anyway.

If she she shaves or waxes it could be an ingrown hair… if she is that paranoid go check it out.

If it looks infected or a another color than pinkish or looks puss-y, like more than just a regular pimple as would be on the face. It’s probably nothing to get her panties in a ruffle.

yes, women can get ingrown hairs, infected hair follicles, infected pores down there. they will pop like pimples, and be very painful. but, they often go away on their own.
things to worry about would be if it were a cluster of blisters, or did not pop. we often get paranoid or feel worried or guilty because of past sexual actions – which turn out to be nothing. such as the “could i be pregnant” question which gets a girl freaked out for 3 days and then she gets her period.

I’ve had a couple, actually went to the doctor for one because it hurt so bad (and the treatment hurt worse)…but they weren’t an STD. I think the doctor called them “sebaceous cysts.” Tell her wearing cotton undies for a few days helps it heal faster. If she’s really worried, though, she should go to her gyno just to be safe.
