STD’s and oral?

I gave a guy oral sex, unprotected. I didn’t let him orgasm in my mouth, so i’m wondering what are the chances of me contracting an STD from him? Also, this occurred a day ago. When is the best time to go get tested for any STD’s? Is there a certain time period you should wait, or get it done immediately?
