eg. What are ways to avoid getting all types of STD?

What are the chances of getting and STD from a blowjob?

Asked by on

I am in a relationship (gay) and I was wondering what the chances of either of us getting an STD from a b low job without a condom are?
We are both fit, and healthy people.
Neither of us have had any form of sex before. So should we both still get tested anyway?

The chances of getting an STD from a blow job without a condom depend on the type of STD and the sexual activity. For example, the risk of getting HIV from a blow job without a condom is much lower than the risk of getting gonorrhea or chlamydia. The risk of getting HIV is also lower if the person giving the blow job does not have any cuts or sores in their mouth. However, it is still possible to get HIV from a blow job without a condom, so it is important to use protection. The risk of getting other STDs, such as gonorrhea and chlamydia, is much higher without a condom. The risk of getting these STDs increases if either partner has any cuts or sores in their mouth or genitals. Therefore, it is important to use a condom to reduce the risk of getting an STD from a blow job.

It is possible if your partner has a contagious infection in their mouth or if they have one south of the boarder you could get it in your mouth while you give them oral sex. For example if your partner happens to have oral herpes (what causes cold sores on the mouth and very common to have) he could pass them to you if he gave you oral sex while he has an out break of cold sore. Oral sex isn’t always safer sex, you can get any std by having oral sex that you can get from regular intercourse. If you are going to have oral sex then talk to your partner about using condoms, even for oral sex. You never know if some one is 100 percent clean until they are tested, stds can affect fit and healthy people too.

Lower than intercourse, but much more likely if there is an open sore in the one person’s mouth.

sexually active individuals should get tested regularly at least once per year. Most importantly however, if you know you are at risk for a particular disease, speak up. The best way to truly know what is going on with your body is to call your nearest std testing center and get tested today.

It honestly depends. See not trying to be graphic, but if he ejaculate into your mouth than all that stuff that has bacteria and possible stds’s in it, can go into your mouth giving you throat gonorrhea, chlamydia, or herpes…etc. Oral sex is not safe sex trust me. But if you are trying to be safe don’t let him go into your mouth that’s just a big no no, especially if you don’t know if someone is clean. You can be fit, and healthy just like Magic Johnson was and still catch HIV. Be careful, not being prejudiced but you know that stds are rampant in homosexual men. Just be careful, I’m sure your fine, but if you are worried go get tested! Good luck!

It is possible to contract a sexually transmitted disease (STD) through oral sex without the use of a condom or dental dam. Some STDs, such as herpes, are spread through skin-to-skin contact while others, such as gonorrhea and chlamydia, can be spread through sexual fluids. It is also possible to contract or spread syphilis, hepatitis B, and HPV through oral sex.

It is important to get tested for STDs regularly, disclose any symptoms to a healthcare professional, and practice safer sex by using condoms or dental dams during oral sex.
